The Mente Argentina Photography Program includes activities & tours we consider essential to learning about important landmarks and historic sites as well as understanding Argentine people and culture.
Beyond typical touristic outings, such as a visit to the neighborhood of La Boca or La Casa Rosada (the government building where the President works), Mente Argentina will also take you to local hot spots that are popular among porteños (the people who live in Buenos Aires). Every month, Mente Argentina hosts several evening outings to different bars and night clubs in the city and occasionally concerts and other performances.
As part of the Photography Program, you will also have the opportunity to participate in activities that are especially designed for your program, like our Photo Safari or Experimental Photography Day.
In addition, for those who wish to go on further tours, we offer optional excursions during the weekends as well as other optional tours.
Buenos Aires City Tour (Activity Included in the Photography Program)
The city tour offered by Mente Argentina covers the historical highlights of Buenos Aires. Explore the character and beauty of the city when visiting the National Congress, or La Casa Rosada (the government building where the President works), Colón Opera House, La Boca, San Telmo and learn about our traditional music and dance, Tango.
We will also visit the most exclusive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires - Palermo and Recoleta - where the nicest pubs and shops are located.

La Boca, San Telmo, Puerto Madero Tour (Activity Included in the Photography Program)
This is one of the most popular tours which covers the vibrant neighborhood of La Boca, Caminito, the Boca Juniors Stadium, San Telmo, and Puerto Madero.
La Boca, one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in Buenos Aires is primarily known for three things: its colorful houses, its reputation as the birthplace of Tango and the Boca Juniors Stadium. It is port where thousands of European immigrants arrived in Buenos Aires and lived at the end of the 19th century. The tour takes you through San Telmo’s narrow streets, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, where antique stores and Tango clubs are around every corner. Finally, the tour ends in one of the most exclusive, and modern neighborhoods of the city: Puerto Madero.
Tigre and Deltra Tour (Activity Included in the Photography Program)
The delta of the River Plate, located 20 miles from Buenos Aires (30 km), is an ideal day trip for visitors to Buenos Aires. Many porteños (residents of Buenos Aires) also go the river for the day to enjoy the scenic waterfront and visit the markets there.
The excursion will feature a boat cruise on the river where you will be able to see Puerto Tigre (the Harbor), the various rowing clubs, weekend bungalows and resorts.

Mente Argentina Buenos Aires Graffiti promotes the extraordinary street art scene in Buenos Aires. The tour reveals another side to the city, taking in the hidden graffiti hotspots and art galleries, and explaining the context and origins of one of the most unique urban art scenes in the world.
Tango Lessons (Activity Included in the Photography Program)
All Mente Argentina participants have the opportunity to enjoy free tango lessons. Learning this world famous Argentine dance is both fun and challenging. Group lessons will provide you with some tips on how to navigate the milongas (Tango dance clubs) of Buenos Aires, while you have fun with your friends.
Pub Crawl - Bars Tour - (Activity Included in the Photography Program)
The Pub Crawl that works with Mente Argentina features native English and Spanish speakers who know the best bars and clubs in the city and definitely know how to have fun in Buenos Aires.
